How to set a delay on the Data File trigger step of a moov configuration

This article will describe how to set a delay on the Data File Trigger step to allow data tied to the same moov configuration to be merged into a single file.

Key Notes/FAQ's for file merging

1. File merging will only work when data received is tied to the same moov configuration (file name starts with / file name contains combination).

2. File merging will only merge data tied to the same file definition. This means the merged data must be the same format.

3. If the data being merged contains a header row defined on the file definition, the appended data will have its header row removed.

To set a delay on a moov configuration for your client, first click the moovs option on the left hand side menu and select the moov associated with the configuration.

In the moov configuration section, select the configuration for your client.

On the edit configuration page, click Next in the lower right.

On the Trigger - Data File received step, toggle the 'Use default parameters' switch to the off position and enter in the delay you want to apply in the Delay Execution Minutes field.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Next button and then the Save button on the next page.

In the example above, we have set a delay for 60 minutes on the moov configuration for the Standard 401k to Fidelity moov for files where the file name starts with '98981' and contain the value '401k'.

After detamoov receives a file that matches the configuration, the moov execution will show that the moov is currently in a collating status until the time specified in the Data File trigger step. In our example above, this means that any file that starts with '98981' and contains the value '401k' received by detamoov in the next 60 minutes will be merged together.

TIP: If you don't want to wait for the delay time you've set, there is an option to override the delay and start processing the moov immediately. You will use the  icon for this.

Once another file with the same file name starts with and contains value is received by detamoov, it will be merged with any existing files for the configuration.  A new  icon will appear where you can review all files that will be merged for this specific configuration.

Any file that was received by detamoov that matches the configuration will appear where you can review the data and download the file if necessary.

You can also click on the  icon to view the merged files as a single file.

Once the specified delay time has been reached the execution will start automatically and process the merged file.
