This article describes how to disable the multi-factor authentication.  You can disable multi-factor authentication in two ways:

  1. Account level as a detamoov administrator (disables multi-factor authentication for all users in your organization)
  2. Individual user-by-user bases if not required by your organization

Disable Account Level Multi-factor Authentication

This setting allows a user with detamoov administrator access to disable multi-factor authentication for all users in your detamoov account.  Use this setting if you require multi-factor authentication for all your detamoov account users.

Note: once multi-factor authentication is disabled for all users, each user must login and disable it on their individual accounts.  If they do not disable the option, they will still be required to authenticate before accessing their detamoov account.

To enable this setting, login to a detamoov with administrator level access, click your initials in the upper right and select Admin Console.

On the Admin Console, click on the Settings tab, expand Security/Compliance section and click the Multi-factor Authentication setting.

On the Edit Multi-factor Authentication panel, toggle the "Require multi-factor authentication for my company" OFF and click Save Changes.

The requirement for multi-factor authentication is now disabled for your organization.

If a user wants to remove multi-factor authentication from their account they can by;

  1. Login to detamoov and authenticate with your authenticator app
  2. Click your initials in the upper right and select Profile
  3. Toggle Multi-factor Authentication OFF
  4. Click Yes to confirm changes

Disable Individual User Multi-factor Authentication

The following steps are only for users where their organization does not require multi-factor authentication.

Note: if your organization requires you to use multi-factor authentication, you will still be prompted to set this up once you login again.

For organizations that don't require multi-factor authentication, users can disable it on their individual user account. To do this:

  1. Login to detamoov
  2. Click your initials in the upper right
  3. Select Profile

On the Security card on the right, toggle the Multi-factor Authentication switch OFF.

Click YES to confirm.
