This article describes how to use Reserved fields in the Standard 401k format for a Transformation Override in a moov configuration. This is useful when you need to provide additional information to a retirement provider.
For example, the Standard 401k to John Hancock moov maps up to two separate Loan ID/Loan Amount fields per employee. These fields are mapped from the 401k Loan Repayment and 401k Loan ID fields in the Standard 401k.

There may be situations where the employee has a third loan that needs to be sent to John Hancock. In this case, you can use the available Reserved fields to send the third loan to detamoov.

In the screenshot above, Reserved1 contains the third loan amount and Reserved2 contains the third loan ID.
To change the default mapping to the John Hancock transformation, you will need to create a Transformation Override on the moov configuration for your client. Locate the Action - Transform step, expand the Transformation Overrides panel, and click the ADD button.

Then select the field you wish to apply the override and click ADD OVERRIDE.

In our John Hancock example, field 63: LOANID is selected. On the override page, select 'Reserved2' from the Input Fields dropdown menu. This is the field in our Standard 401k that maps to the third loan ID. Click OK to apply the override.

Repeat the steps for the Loan Amount in Reserved1. Create a new transformation override for field 64: LOANAMT and select 'Reserved1' from the Input Fields dropdown menu and click OK. Save the configuration by scrolling down, clicking NEXT, and then clicking SAVE.

You can now populate the Standard 401k format's Reserved fields and the transformation override will create the mapping during execution. This example demonstrated how to map additional employee loan for John Hancock. However, you can utilize the Reserved fields to create overrides for other data that may not appear in the Standard 401k format.
